The all-new Pixelfed mobile apps are here, and after some time evaluating the iOS experience, I am pleased to say it is worlds better than the previous app and genuinely a pleasure to use. This leads us nicely into further discussion of Instagram (and YouTube) competition in the form of Haven, a hot new up-and-coming anti-AI social media platform which is in the middle of an already-funded Kickstarter and attracting much buzz. My questions: will it federate? Who’s behind it? And how will it protect artists from AI slop? Let’s dive in.
